  • When You Call for an Appointment, your therapist will:
  • Speak with you directly
  • Explain what services are provided
  • Explain the hours of operations
  • Explain where services are provided?
  • Inform you of the cost based upon the service requested
  • Inform you to pay by cash, check, Master Card, or Visa
  • Explain the cancellation policy
  • Provide directions to the office
  • Day of your massage, your therapist will:
  • Ask you to complete a medical intake form
  • Conduct a brief interview
  • Ask what you expect from the session
  • Ask you about the pressure and comfort
  • Make adjustments to meet your needs (i.e. room temperature, pressure from strokes)
  • Encourage consistent breathing when muscles are tight and need extra attention
  • After the massage your therapist will:
  • Encourage you to drink plenty of water to rehydrate the muscles, enhance muscle recovery, and eliminate toxins released during the massage
  • Encourage you to relax, take it easy, and to not participate in extraneous activity for at least 30 minutes, preferably one hour.
  • When to return for your next massage:
  • Individuals in chronic pain and/or experiencing high levels of stress (neither requiring medical intervention): two times a week for at least three weeks until pain and/or stress has reduced at least by 75%
  • Individuals with nagging aches and pains due to stressful life circumstances: weekly sessions until stress level has reduced at least by 75%
  • Individuals who need to relax for general health and maintenance: once or twice a month.
